After landing on the cover of Reader’s Digest Asia recently, world singing sensation Charice Pempengco is also featured in Seventeen, a teen mag in the US.

In the interview, Charice didn’t only talk about her much-publicized participation in “Glee” but also her biggest dream – to become a lawyer.

“I don’t want to stay a singer forever. I want to fulfil my dream career as lawyer! It’s a crazy busy schedule, but I still have two hours a day for school because it’s a priority,” Charice shared on her Seventeen interview, excerpts of which were featured on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” Aug. 11.

The renowned young singer was utterly elated over her inclusion in “Glee.”

“I love the show. I am more into things like 'CSI.' But then 'Glee' started and I was like, 'Oh this is different,'" she said in the interview.

She added that the rumor about her being on “Glee” spreading like wildfire was the most fascinating piece of gossip she’d ever heard.

“When the rumor came out (that I was going to be on “Glee” before I knew about it) I was like this is the best rumor ever! I was excited, but I’m also so nervous to be on it.”

She narrated how she finally discovered that she made it to the popular TV musical.

“I was in Europe so I was on Twitter and I saw I had over 1,000 responses and I was like, 'OK, something happened,' so I opened it and it was like 'Charice on Glee!'...and then after about 30 minutes the show e-mailed me and said congratulations”.

For her audition, Charice sang an original David Foster song.

“I sang my song called 'In This Song.' David Foster wrote the song for me. I thought that I should sing a ballad. I thought they would love it”.

Aside from her inclusion in “Glee,” Charice also considers her duet with Celine Dion as one of her biggest achievements.

“She’s one of my heroes,” she said.

Charice hasn’t stopped dreaming. She wishes to perform with two more world-class performers.

“I want to have a record with Beyonce or Lady Gaga. They’re both my inspirations.”
